NIA seizes Khalistani terrorist's properties in Punjab, strengthens anti-terror measures

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has taken a significant step in the fight against terrorism by confiscating immovable properties linked to Khalistani terrorist Ramandeep Singh in Punjab's Ferozepur district. This action follows the directions of the NIA special court, which ordered the seizure of 31 kanals, 9 marlas, and 4 sarsahi land owned by the accused in Jhok Nodh Singh village and Tibbi Kalan of Ferozepur.

Tightening the noose on Pro-Khalistan network

In its official statement, the NIA stated that Ramandeep Singh, also known as Raman, was declared a proclaimed offender by the court on July 27, 2023. This move is part of the agency's efforts to combat the pro-Khalistan gangster-terrorist nexus. The confiscated properties are linked to a case concerning the terror activities of leaders and members of proscribed terrorist organizations, including the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF), Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), and International Sikh Youth Federation (ISYF).

The investigations have revealed the involvement of these groups, along with organized criminal gangs, in smuggling terrorist hardware such as arms, ammunition, explosives, and Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) into India from across the border.
